My therapy approach combines practical problem solving skills with finding how your healthy emotional skill development has been stalled or stopped. I support you to relearn those skills by training both your body and your mind. When skills are learned by both your body and your mind, your life changes.
Since childhood, I have been interested in healing and teaching. For more than 30 years, I have been passionate about working with people, helping them to make changes in their lives.
In 1967, I graduated from UBC with a Bachelor of Science in Rehabiliation Medicine.
In 2001, I graduated from Antioch University, Seattle with a MA in Counselling Psychology.
Emotional problems do not exist solely in the mind. I continued my training in Bodynamics. This elegant system works with a knowledge of human development, stress and trauma to learn how emotional issues become embedded in the body. As a member of the Bodynamics community, I participate regularly in personal therapy, a peer study group and professional supervison.
I am certified with the British Columbia Association of Clinical Cousellors and the College of s of British Columbia. Both memberships are voluntary and show that I have met the standards for education, professional competance and ethical conduct.
